Job Position: Backend and DevOps Engineer

Job Location: Yaba, Lagos

Job Description

  1. We seek an experienced and talented Backend + DevOps Engineer to join our growing team.
  2. As a Backend + DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in architecting, implementing and deploying innovative solutions, ensuring an optimized usage of resources and adhering to security measures across our digital platforms.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Lead the architecture design and development of Backend API, adhering to best
  2. practices.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and UX/UI designers, to deliver seamless and resilient endpoints.
  4. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.
  5. Stay updated on emerging Backend technologies and trends, incorporating new tools and methodologies into the development process.
  6. Take ownership of deployment of applications and maintenance of infrastructures
  7. Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to established coding standards.
  8. Take ownership of projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
  • Proven expertise in NodeJs, and NestJs.
  • Strong understanding of solid principles and design patterns.
  • Sound knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL databases).
  • Practical knowledge of cloud computing using AWS (or GPC).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
