Job Position: Senior Backend Engineer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Participate actively in the Integration Team, responsible for seamlessly incorporating third-party software into Swapcard’s offerings.
  2. Develop and maintain our official API libraries/wrappers (https://developer.swapcard.com/).
  3. Join us in designing and constructing a streamlined integration marketplace for the Event industry.
  4. Play a critical role in day-to-day coding, design, code reviews and troubleshooting production issues.
  5. Design, develop and deliver high-quality code and automated tests to production within a short development cycle in the Continuous Integration and delivery environment.
  6. Collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to devise optimal engineering solutions.

Job Requirements

  1. MS / BS or equivalent and +5 years work experience in Computer Science
  2. Minimum of +3 years writing NodeJS or other backend languages
  3. Solid knowledge in computer science fundamentals: algorithm, data structure, object-oriented programming
  4. Proficient with SQL/No SQL databases
  5. Experiences deploying Rest or GraphQL services in production
  6. Passion for developing high-quality and robust code that scales and performs well
  7. Highly motivated, goal-driven, can-do approach
  8. Innovative, entrepreneurial, team player, ability to multi-task.
