Job Position: Blog Manager

Job Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  • At Ikore, we offer innovative products that meet the needs and wants of our partners across the trade-tech, mechanization, livestock, food delivery, and social enterprise industries.
  • We are seeking an experienced Blog Manager as a consultant.
  • The consultant will be responsible for overseeing technical and content-related matters for blogging websites.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Write compelling content that speaks to the different projects we are focused on.
  2. Generate new content ideas that follow development trends.
  3. Conduct basic keyword research.
  4. Proofread and edit content for errors and inconsistencies to improve readability.
  5. Ensure that content is consistent with our branding and addresses both business goals and consumer needs.
  6. Adhere to the established style guides that specify the writing style and tone needed to create engaging content.
  7. Create a standard tracking system for content creation (content and frequency calendar).
  8. Manage our team of Blog Writers and assign topics/schedules.
  9. Manage below content types;
  10. Business/ Startup ( Trade-tech, Livestock, Agriculture, Mechanization, Food delivery, Social enterprise/ impact)
  11. Tech Corner
  12. Education
  13. News
  14. Entertainment
  15. Lifestyle/Trends
  16. Events
  17. Today in history
  18. Fintech
  19. Job posting
  20. Other responsibilities/duties as they may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or relevant field;
  2. Minimum 2 years of professional copywriting experience with a solid portfolio of work;
  3. Exceptional writing and research skills;
  4. Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation(SEO) and keyword research tools;
  5. Up to date with digital and writing methodologies and best practices;
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Canva, and Adobe Acrobat Pro;
  7. Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc;
  8. A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design;
  9. Good leadership and management skills;
  10. Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines;
  11. Ability to deliver timely responses to team messages, showcase reliability, & showcase a great sense of responsibility;
  12. Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability;
  13. Social media or content marketing experience a plus;
  14. Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides are added advantages.
