Job Position: Brand and Corporate Communications Executive
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Job Purpose
- Manage the implementation of initiatives that boost Matrix Energy Group’s brand visibility and engagement with its target audience.
- This role is also responsible for operational execution of internal and external communications through various media and communication channels.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Manage the planning and creation of content for various communication channels, including social media, websites, newsletters, and press releases.
- Maintain and evolve the brand identity in line with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure that marketing materials and communications adhere to the Matrix Energy Group brand guidelines.
- Manages the content calendar and schedules posts across different platforms to ensure a consistent, timely and appropriate brand image for Matrix Energy.
- Support the development and implementation of social media strategies in Matrix Energy to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Track the social media metrics and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of social media campaigns for Matrix Energy Group.
- Support in the creation and maintenance of brand collateral such as brochures, presentations, and other promotional materials.
- Coordinate corporate events, press briefings, product launches, industry conferences, and sponsorships.
- Drive employee engagement through clear, consistent, and motivating internal communication.
- Manage communication during organisational changes, e.g., restructures or policy shifts/changes.
- Manage the drafting and distribution of press releases to media outlets.
- Monitor media coverage and compile daily or weekly media reports.
- Organise and manage media events, press conferences, and other public relations activities.
- Assists in the development and distribution of newsletters, emails, and other communication materials to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Keep a record of and analyse feedback from stakeholders to improve communication strategies in Matrix Energy.
- Prepare annual reports, sustainability reports, and other corporate publications.
- Manage the planning and execution of corporate events, conferences, and community engagement activities
- Track the expenses for branding and communication activities in Matrix Energy Group.
- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies to produce marketing materials and services
- Maintains records of all communication activities, materials, and correspondences in Matrix Energy Group.
- Ensures that all communications comply with industry regulations and Matrix Energy Group’s policies
- Perform any other task assigned by the Head, Corporate Services.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in brand and corporate communications-related roles.
- A relevant professional certification in corporate communication is an added advantage.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to develop and implement brand and internal, and external communications policies and procedures.
- Excellent writing and editing skills for creating press releases, articles, social media posts, and internal communications.
- Ability to create initiatives to boost employee engagement.
- Strong verbal communication for interacting with media, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Good understanding of brand strategy and ability to maintain brand consistency across all channels.
- Ability to create engaging and relevant content for various platforms.
- Experience in planning, executing, and monitoring marketing and communication campaigns.
- Proficiency in managing social media platforms and understanding social media metrics and analytics
- Ability to analyse data to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns
- Hands-on graphic design skills to create visual content
