Job Position: Business Analyst and Planner for Print Category

Job Description

  • We are looking for a Business Analyst and Planner into our Africa Print Category organization to support our growth ambition with the professional Process of Management that is designed and operated with the right tools and reports.
  • The ideal candidate will work in a talented environment with a team of 8-10 people.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manages complex data and business analyses to develop business plans and make recommendations.
  2. Works independently to construct complex statistical and financial models to forecast business performance.
  3. Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.
  4. Manages complex, time- sensitive market research projects and synthesizes data and information to identify relevant trends and next steps.
  5. Works with cross-functional teams across the entire span of business planning activities.
  6. Contributes to priority projects with complex analyses and assists in developing recommendations.
  7. Works closely with business leaders to develop business plans based on historical and forecasted data and reports.
  8. Develops go-forward business plan recommendations based on potential risks and returns.
  9. Identifies cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a First level University Degree.
  • Typically 4-6 years experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area.

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of research methodology and the ability to manage complex data requests.
  2. Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
  3. Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.
  4. Extensive knowledge of Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
  5. Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
  6. Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Strong project management skills.
  8. Developed relationship management skills.
  9. Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  10. Ability to identify and summarize relevant trends from market and industry data.
