Job Description

  1. The ideal candidate is a team player who will be responsible for working with company data in various business areas.
  2. A business Analyst is a professional who works closely with stakeholders to identify goals, develop best practices for data collection, and analyze current processes to determine areas of improvement to achieve their desired outcomes.
  3. We are looking for a Business Analyst who will be the vital link between our Finance and account unit, and our business objectives by supporting, advising, building, deployment and ensuring the successful data-backed decisions and tasks that help to position the company in advantageously among competitors.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Preparation of Performance Management Reports including all Relevant Metrics
  2. Preparation of POP and BTS Performance and Analysis Reports
  3. Preparation of Company–wide Budget for All Business Units
  4. GL Review and Transactions Call–Over
  5. Monthly Revenue Forecast and Share Updates to the Business.
  6. Collects, Compiles, Verifies and Analyses Financial Information Specific to the Business Being Supported.
  7. Perform Desk/Market Research, Data Mining, Business Intelligence and Cost Analysis Specific to the Business.
  8. Creating and Updating the Database for All Business Units Analysis.
  9. Deployment and execution of strategic cost containment initiatives company-wide.
  10. Full Involvement in Month-end Accounts Closure Activities and Processes.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of BSC Degree in Accounting or Banking and Finance or Economics
  2. Professional Certification (ACCA or ICAN) is an added advantage
  3. Expertise in ERP such as Sage, Pastel, Evolution, and Microsoft Excel Working Knowledge
  4. Knowledge of IFRS and Tax Laws as well as Business Operating Environment Intelligent Gathering

Relevant Experience:

  • 3 – 4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance with at least 3 years in Financial reporting
  • Minimum of 3 years progressive experience within any of the following industries with a large organization: Telecoms, Consulting, Fin Tech, FMCG or Technology Consulting

Attitude and Behavioral Traits:

  1. Strong analytical and data-gathering skills with ethical conduct, independence, and overall positive can-do attitude.
  2. Excellent oral and communication skills.
  3. Well-developed IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Presentation Skills.
  4. Strong Computer knowledge and skills, including in-depth expert knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
  5. Strong drive for Knowledge and must be out of the box thinker.
  6. The high degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality.
  7. Very good presentation skills.
  8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while under pressure.
  9. Customer service-oriented as well as problem-solving orientation.
