Job Description

  • The proposed project seeks to revolutionize Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to enhance employability and promote higher productivity in Nigeria chosen target market. This project is highly innovative and addresses several key technical features and innovations.
  • The project’s technical features include the development of a comprehensive and gender-responsive TVET ecosystem. It aims to eliminate barriers faced by women and youth in accessing TVET by addressing socio-cultural norms, institutional hurdles, policy restrictions, gender perceptions, logistical challenges, and financial barriers. The project will work in close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including TVET champions and innovation support organizations, to provide targeted support for early-stage enterprises, particularly start-ups and growth companies.
  • What sets this project apart is its emphasis on gender-responsive pedagogy and entrepreneurship support. It will not only upskill tutors and management in TVET institutions but also empower disadvantaged groups, offer technical skills training, and mentor them. The project fosters cross-border cooperation to exchange best practices and lessons learned.
  • The project’s innovation lies in its holistic approach to women and youth empowerment in TVET. By removing systemic barriers and enhancing skill development, it aims to equip them with the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly changing job market. This innovative project is a catalyst for boosting employability and enterprise creation among women, youth, and vulnerable groups, thereby contributing to higher productivity and job promotion in the TVET sector.

By doing so, it is poised to significantly enhance employability, stimulate enterprise creation, and ultimately contribute to higher productivity and job promotion in the chosen target market.

Job Responsibilities

  • He/she will help vulnerable members of society gain access to the social services they need,
  • Assist beneficiaries in obtaining necessary documentation ,
  • Develop a reintegration assistance plan based on needs assessment indicating the type and purpose of assistance as well as resources/skills required to help individuals and groups successfully reintegrate.
  • Support in identifying vendors, TVETs centres and obtaining necessary documentation (invoices/quotations) for the purchase of goods and services in a competitive process for the implementation of the project as well as business premises (shop).
  • Monitoring of beneficiaries’ progress and weekly reporting to the Program Manager.
  • Develop a market validation plan, transistion Plan, etc and, are required to complete will vary from location to location, but in general, will be expected to do the following on a daily basis:
  • Help Individuals Gain Access to Community Resources: He/She will be responsible for helping individuals learn more about the social and community resources available to them. help Beneficiaries to identify viable skills and gain access to quality TVET skills in line to the current market trend, access to health care and other services including linkage to market and institution
  • Analyze the Effectiveness of Programs: must evaluate how well certain programs and services benefit the Beneficiaries and community, with feedbacks
  • Visit With Beneficiaries/Clients: He/She shall meet their clients in their homes. Many clients, to determine their needs and evaluate their progress.
  • Manage Outreach Programs: Work closely with the TVT Manager to organize outreach programs to raise community awareness for Beneficiaries to know more about the services and programs available in their communities.
  • Compile Reports: collect Beneficiaries personal information so they can determine their particular needs. This information is often private, and it must be regularly updated and filed properly for future reference.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of BSc/HND or equivalent qualification in, social development, Economics, Statistics, Development Planning, Social Work or Demography, Computer Science, or any related courses.
  • 5 years of experience required.
  • Social work/psychology background- an in-depth understanding of the social work industry and its concepts and techniques is required. have prior social work or mental health experience
  • Understanding of current social issues- should understand the social ills that plague the target communities or the demographic they serve. They should understand issues such as domestic abuse, poverty, drug addiction, homelessness,etc
  • Managerial experience- managerial or supervisory experience is mandatory. This experience should come from directing others in a work environment
  • Problem-solving skills- case managers are faced with countless problems and challenges on a regular basis, so they should be able to come up with unique and effective solutions
  • Communication skills- Case managers often work in one-on-one and small group settings, often with vulnerable populations. This means He/She will need to be able to communicate in a Local dialect (Hausa specifically) and in calm, professional, and compassionate manner

Salary
N350,000 – N600,000 / Month.
