Job Description

Our client is seeking a Business Controller responsible for managing budgets and financial data records.

The role will focus on ensuring accurate financial reporting, monitoring budget performance, and supporting management with insights for decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Support monthly reporting to management and corporate HQ in collaboration with the Chief Accountant.
  2. Manage cash flow, tax matters, budgets, and mid-term planning for various entities.
  3. Ensure reliability of cost accounting, management reports, and inventory/WIP reporting.
  4. Review and validate costing files for spare parts.
  5. Develop and monitor KPIs to detect variances and propose corrective actions.
  6. Prepare monthly BR reports and recommend OPEX monitoring and reduction measures.
  7. Review and monitor CAPEX to ensure alignment with budgets.
  8. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, SOPs, internal controls, tax regulations, and vendor due diligence (KYC/third parties).
  9. Strengthen branch activity monitoring, establish procedures, and drive process improvements.
  10. Promote continuous improvement through ANZEN and KAIZEN principles.

Requirements

  1. HND / B.Sc. in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Business Administration)
  2. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are an added advantage
  3. Minimum of 8 years’ hands-on experience in financial management or a related role
  4. Strong numerical and financial analysis skills
  5. High attention to detail and accuracy
  6. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  7. Solid financial reporting and analytical expertise
