Job Overview

We are seeking to employ a Business Development Executive to help shape its market presence and drive growth. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a new practice, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s strategic direction

Job Responsibilities

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate clients, SMEs, and individuals requiring legal services.
  2. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and referral sources.
  3. Support partners in preparing and delivering pitches, proposals, and presentations to prospective clients.
  4. Foster relationships with professional associations, chambers of commerce, and industry bodies.
  5. Support the creation and execution of marketing strategies to build the firm’s visibility.
  6. Collaborate with legal teams and/Managing partner to produce client alerts, thought leadership articles, and industry insights.
  7. Organise, coordinate and represent the company at seminars, workshops, and networking events to showcase the firm’s expertise and build relationships.
  8. Act as a liaison between clients and legal teams, ensuring excellent client service delivery.
  9. Develop feedback mechanisms to assess client experience and recommend improvements.
  10. Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities in the legal sector.
  11. Provide strategic input to partners on business expansion, partnerships, and service diversification.
  12. Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes to identify areas of growth.
  13. Track business development activities and prepare periodic performance reports for management.
  14. Maintain a database of business development contacts, activities, and outcomes.
  15. Support the development of fee proposals, budgets, and revenue forecasts.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, or related field.
  2. 3–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing (experience in professional services or the legal industry is an added advantage).
  3. Proven track record of meeting business development targets.

Skills & Competencies:

  1. Strong understanding of business development principles and marketing strategies.
  2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  3. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with high-level stakeholders.
  4. Knowledge of the legal industry (preferred).
  5. Strategic thinker with strong research and analytical skills.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/marketing tools.
  7. Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
