Job Overview
We are seeking to employ a Business Development Executive to help shape its market presence and drive growth. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a new practice, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s strategic direction
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate clients, SMEs, and individuals requiring legal services.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and referral sources.
- Support partners in preparing and delivering pitches, proposals, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Foster relationships with professional associations, chambers of commerce, and industry bodies.
- Support the creation and execution of marketing strategies to build the firm’s visibility.
- Collaborate with legal teams and/Managing partner to produce client alerts, thought leadership articles, and industry insights.
- Organise, coordinate and represent the company at seminars, workshops, and networking events to showcase the firm’s expertise and build relationships.
- Act as a liaison between clients and legal teams, ensuring excellent client service delivery.
- Develop feedback mechanisms to assess client experience and recommend improvements.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities in the legal sector.
- Provide strategic input to partners on business expansion, partnerships, and service diversification.
- Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes to identify areas of growth.
- Track business development activities and prepare periodic performance reports for management.
- Maintain a database of business development contacts, activities, and outcomes.
- Support the development of fee proposals, budgets, and revenue forecasts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, or related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing (experience in professional services or the legal industry is an added advantage).
- Proven track record of meeting business development targets.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of business development principles and marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with high-level stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the legal industry (preferred).
- Strategic thinker with strong research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/marketing tools.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
