Job Position: Business Development Manager (Cards Business)

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Identification of prospective institution clients requiring card solutions, as well as initiation of sales efforts to sign them up.
  • Presentation and demonstration of relevant products and services to potential clients as part of the sales effort.
  • General sales interactions with potential clients to facilitate rapid customer acquisition in line with the business goals.
  • Consistent achievement of client acquisition, overall business growth, and revenue targets as defined in line with overall company strategy.
  • Involvement in the review of prospective client systems, analysis of client requirements and formulation of suitable product enhancements or custom features to address client needs.
  • Generate leads, cold call prospective customers and identify key personnel in prospective client organizations for engagement.
  • Articulate and engage the Product Marketing Manager on promotional strategies to drive product visibility and uptake.

Job Requirements

  • BSc in Marketing, or in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Sciences, Arts, or any related field. A higher degree such as MA/MBA/MSc in a similar discipline will be an advantage.
  • 5+ years’ work experience in a business development or sales role in a financial institution, telecommunication, and/or multinational B2B technology company.
  • Strong capabilities in B2B sales operations, relationship management, lead generation, lead conversion, negotiation, and product presentation.
  • A good knowledge of software development, banking, end-to-end loan lifecycle and lending solutions.
  • Strong passion for Sales & Marketing and strong communication, presentation and analytical skills, good relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Strong business acumen and drive for result with resilience and determination.
  • Ability to take accountability and ownership and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent organizational skills & proven ability to collaborate, work, manage & interact with different kinds of people.
  • Technology savvy candidates with knowledge of lending automation solutions, lending operations and recurring collections concept will be highly preferred.
