Job Position: Business Development Manager

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, competitors, and emerging trends in the base station industry.
  2. Analyze market data to assess market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  3. Identify and engage prospective clients, including telecommunication companies, network operators, and infrastructure providers.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to generate new business leads and opportunities.
  5. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Negotiate and close deals with clients, including pricing, contracts, and service-level agreements.
  6. Manage and nurture existing client accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize revenue opportunities.
  7. Continuously seek opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services.
  8. Identify and establish strategic partnerships with other companies in the base station industry, such as equipment manufacturers or technology providers, to enhance the company’s offerings and market reach.
  9. Monitor competitors’ activities, market trends, and technological advancements to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  10. Develop strategies to differentiate the company’s products and services from competitors.
  11. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns, including online and offline channels, to promote the company’s base station solutions and services.
  12. Track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback. Prepare regular reports and present findings to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for business improvement.

Job Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is typically required.
  2. In-depth understanding of the base station industry, including knowledge of telecommunications networks, wireless technologies, and infrastructure requirements.
  3. Familiarity with 4G/5G technologies and trends is highly desirable.
  4. 10 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles, preferably in the telecommunications or network infrastructure industry. Experience in selling base station solutions or related products is a significant advantage.
  5. Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of achieving sales targets. Excellent negotiation and persuasive communication skills to close deals and maintain long-term client relationships.
  6. Ability to think strategically and develop actionable business development plans.
  7. Analytical skills to assess market opportunities, conduct competitor analysis, and make data-driven decisions.
  8. Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Ability to effectively communicate and influence decision-makers at various levels.
  9. Proactive and self-driven attitude to identify new business opportunities and drive initiatives independently. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
  10. Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and operations. Ability to lead and inspire team members towards common business goals.
  11. Willingness to travel frequently to meet clients, attend industry conferences, and explore business opportunities.
