Job Locations: Maitama – Abuja & Ikoyi – Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth by expanding DLM’s product offerings, generating leads, and building strategic relationships across key markets.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong business development background and a proven ability to identify opportunities and foster partnerships that contribute to long-term business success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Drive deposit mobilization efforts to meet and exceed financial targets.
  • Expand the bank’s clientele base by identifying and pursuing new customer acquisition opportunities.
  • Promote the bank’s products and services to potential clients, ensuring strong market presence.
  • Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales and deposit targets.
  • Proactively contact potential customers, presenting and selling relevant banking products and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective networking and relationship management.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand customer needs.
  • Motivate and guide the sales team to perform beyond expectations, ensuring continuous improvement and success.

Job Requirements

  • Must possess a BSc Degree; a master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Must possess proven work experience as a Salesperson in a financial institution, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Must possess excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of the market and the ability to develop productive business relationships.
  • Must possess proficiency in MS Office and a solid understanding of CRM practices.
  • Must possess the ability to analyze Credit Appraisal Memos and make key credit decisions.
  • Must possess strong time management and planning skills.
  • Ability to speak Hausa is an added advantage for Abuja applicants.
