Job Position: Business Development Manager

Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Managerwho can drivegrowth by expanding DLM Asset Management and Trustees products, generating assets, and building strategic relationships across key markets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth of all DLM Asset Management products and DLM Trustees products amongst institutional and retail clients
  • Customize Investment solutions to suit investment needs of prospects and clients
  • Monitor Customer Satisfaction with existing clients to ensure service delivery
  • Develop and broaden the institutional and strategic partnership business opportunities for DLM Asset Management and Trustees within Nigeria and across other African countries
  • Explore and win new businesses with the objective to achieve a mutually agreed sales target and KPIs
  • Develop and help execute the sales activities for investment teams’ meetings, road shows, campaigns, searches, data requests, presentations, due diligence visits and ongoing relationship management efforts.
  • Develop strong relationships with prospects and clients, leading to new mandates or injections of funds.
  • Build relationships with key decision makers within potential organization
  • Responsible for customizing investment solutions to suit investment needs of prospects and clients.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience gained in an Institutional or Business Development role in the financial services industry.
  • First degree or its equivalent from a reputable tertiary institution with a minimum of Second-Class lower degree (2:2)
  • Possession of ICAN, ACCA, CIS, CFA, MBA or any other business or professional qualification would be an added advantage.
  • Women are encouraged to apply for the role.
  • Ability to speak Hausa would be an added advantage.

Desired Skills:

  • About ten (10) years corporate or institutional or business development combined experience in the financial services industry.
  • Self-starter that can work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the products and services – local and global – provided by the financial markets and competitors
  • Excellent knowledge of money and capital market operations
  • Excellent understanding of investment and portfolio management
  • Excellent ability to identify Client’s needs and challenges
  • Ability to identify alternative and innovative financial markets instruments/products
  • Ability to flourish in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Proficiency in Business Development and Sales
  • Knowledge of principles and methods involved in showing, promoting, and selling products and services
