Job Position: Business Development Manager

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  1. Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and increase market share.
  2. Monitor competitors and adjust strategies as needed.
  3. Develop new business opportunities by generating Deposit Liabilities and Fund Mobilization within the MSME and retail market.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Lead efforts to acquire new clients and expand the customer base.

Negotiation and Deal Closing:

  1. Lead negotiations with clients, partners, and stakeholders to secure favorable deals.
  2. Ensure contracts are effectively managed and executed.
  3. Identify, develop, and cultivate relationships with customers within the retail and MSME segment who need loans and advances to support their business.
  4. Initiate the development, launching, and sales of new product offerings

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  1. Set sales targets and lead the business team to achieve revenue goals.
  2. Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize profitability.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  1. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development efforts.
  2. Prepare regular reports for Management on progress and achievements.

Team Leadership and Development:

  1. Lead and manage the business development team, providing guidance and mentorship.
  2. Conduct regular training and skill development programs for team members.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  1. Ensure business development activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies.
  2. Mitigate risks associated with business expansion and client relationships.

Networking and Industry Engagement:

  1. Represent the institution at industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance brand visibility.
  2. Build a strong network of contacts within the financial industry.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an MBA qualification with 5 – 12 years work experience.
