Job Position: Business Development Manager

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Identify and prospect potential clients within the corporate travel sector, including but not limited to, corporations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions.
  2. Achieve or exceed the sales volume/revenue goals targets as defined in the business plan
  3. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through proactive outreach, networking, and attending industry events.
  4. Conduct thorough market research to understand client needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning to tailor compelling value propositions.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized travel management solutions that align with client objectives and budgetary considerations.
  6. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations to secure new business partnerships.
  7. Develop and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive long-term business growth and retention.
  8. Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
  9. Track and analyze sales performance metrics, report on progress against targets, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  10. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns, promotional materials, and thought leadership content to support business development efforts.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience in travel industry management or a related field
  3. Proven track record of success in business development, sales and marketing roles within the travel industry, with a focus on corporate travel management.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
  5. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities, anticipate challenges, and develop innovative solutions to drive business growth.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software
  7. Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support business development initiatives.
