Job Position: Business Development Manager, API Markeplace
Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid)
Job Description
- The ideal candidate will drive the penetration of Interswitch API services by managing relationships with partners and customers in the allocated sector.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue strategic partnerships with API providers, developers, and technology companies to expand the API marketplace ecosystem.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including API providers, developers, and potential customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute business development strategies and initiatives.
- Plan and implement an ongoing targeted account list to guide sales on the creation of API revenue streams from Bank and non- Bank partners
- Actively engage with potential customers to understand their API requirements and demonstrate the value proposition of the API marketplace.
- Conduct periodic sales calls with network regional teams while targeting high-revenue potential sales calls to ensure success
- Monitor and track competing products/services for effective positioning and business development
- Organises monthly review of API calls per client and facilitate billing based on the agreed billing cycle
- Develop and negotiate partnership agreements and contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create and implement effective marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with the product team to provide feedback on the marketplace platform and contribute to its continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry standards, emerging technologies, and market trends related to APIs and API marketplaces.
- Perform other Digital ecosystem-related tasks that may be assigned by the manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management or relevant field. A background in marketing, and product development, is an added advantage.
- MBA or Master’s degree in any science-related course is desirable
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Product Management, CBAP, and Lean Six Sigma will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in business development, product development, and market development.
