Job Position: Business Development Manager
Location: Ikeja, Victoria Island – Lagos

Summary

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding the company’s customer base in B2B (Business-to-Business), B2C (Business-to-Consumer) and Corporate segments.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to drive revenue growth in B2B, B2C, and Corporate segments.
  2. Identify and pursue new B2B business opportunities by prospecting and qualifying potential clients and developing strategic partnerships.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key B2B clients, understanding their needs, and providing customised solutions to meet their requirements.
  4. Lead the development and execution of B2C marketing and corporate sales strategies to attract and retain customers.
  5. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, customer preferences, and new business opportunities.
  6. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns, promotions, and advertising initiatives to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  7. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential B2B and Corporate clients, as well as B2C customers, to showcase the company’s products and services.
  8. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with B2B clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations, customer support, and product development, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and changes in the competitive landscape to identify business growth opportunities.
  11. Review and analyse sales performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness.

Requirements

  1. First Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field. An MBA is an added advantage.
  2. Professional membership/certification within the industry is mandatory
  3. At least 5 years’ professional experience in a similar role, with 3 years in a supervisory role
  4. Experience in the travel industry, in B2B, B2C and Corporate sales is mandatory
  5. Strong prospecting skills and Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  6. Exceptional verbal, written & presentation communication skills
  7. Excellent customer service delivery focus
  8. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities
  9. Excellent attitude and work ethic
  10. Excellent Leadership and Managerial skills
  11. Result-oriented & target-driven with a track record of achieving sales targets.
