Job Description

  • Plays a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of the company in Lagos. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Development Manager role requires a dynamic and results-oriented professional with a proven track record in sales, business development, and relationship management within the real estate industry.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats in the Lagos real estate market.
  2. Business Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets and enhance the company’s market presence, focusing on target market segments and customer profiles.
  3. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Generate leads through diverse channels such as networking, referrals, cold calling, and digital marketing, nurturing a robust pipeline to support sales growth and revenue targets.
  4. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain relationships with key clients, investors, and industry stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact and providing tailored solutions to meet their real estate needs.
  5. Proposal Development and Presentation: Create and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients, customizing offerings to address their specific requirements and objectives.
  6. Negotiation and Deal Closure: Negotiate terms of real estate transactions, including sales and leasing agreements, collaborating with internal teams to finalize contracts and ensure seamless transaction processes.
  7. Networking and Industry Engagement: Expand professional networks within the real estate industry, participating in industry events and representing the company to enhance visibility and brand awareness.
  8. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Forecast sales projections, analyze sales data, and prepare regular reports for management, evaluating the effectiveness of business development strategies and initiatives.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, or related fields; MBA or Advanced Degree preferred.
  2. Proven track record in real estate business development, sales, or marketing, consistently meeting revenue targets.
  3. In-depth understanding of the Lagos real estate market, including trends, players, and regulations.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, adept at influencing stakeholders.
  5. Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, devising innovative business strategies.
  6. Results-driven mindset focused on exceeding performance goals.
  7. Proficient in MS Office and CRM software for sales management.
