Padua Petroleum Nigeria Limited (PPNL) is an indigenous company established to provide a unique range of services to the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry. We venture into this industry with the objective of building on existing limited in- country capacity. In view of the enormous opportunities which abound in the Oil and Gas industry in Nigeria and the new findings in other African countries, there is need for more indigenous players to fill the yawning gap by providing competitiveness and quality service delivery to the industry.

Job Position: Business Development Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and pursue new business opportunities, while effectively managing existing ones.
  • Successfully register PPNL and MSCM-PPNL with notable IOCs and other indigenous companies.
  • Manage Client relationships, both new and existing clients.
  • Bid on new projects/contracts and negotiate contract terms.
  • Identify new opportunities for new contracts, come up with contract award winning bids/tender, negotiate and conclude such contracts at best possible terms.
  • Support the execution of ongoing contracts on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Recruit and oversee contractors and vendors.
  • Monitor local, federal and industry regulations.
  • Analyze data and create reports to identify areas of business growth.
  • Strategic business analysis, analyzing market trends, keeping an eye on competition and coming up with new ways to stay ahead in the business.
  • Generate reports that show trends and impact to aid effective business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports to the Managing Director.
  • Any other assignment as directed by the Management.

Job Requirements

  • HND/Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related business field.
  • An MBA in Marketing or any Business-related field is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Must have a strong commercial mindset, good business commercial acumen, great analytical skills and sense of detail.
  • Must have the drive to develop and execute complex transactions of significant value with our customers especially the IOCs.
  • Highly innovative, numerate and methodical with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent Interpersonal Skills.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Strong communication and IT skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Should fully understand the market mechanisms in play in the upstream Oil and Gas sector.
  • Should fully understand our services and key capabilities and how they fit into the business process for our customers/clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have experience in Market research.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to deliver results before deadline.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
