Job Position: Business Development Manager (Sales Partnerships)

Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Description

  1. To grow new business through the development of valuable relationships with customers providing value to all stakeholders.
  2. Identify and implement the Renmoney strategic initiatives, with special emphasis on the business strategies that achieve growth of customer base, increase awareness for Renmoney products and services, and provide unmet needs regarding financial wellness in the geographical location that we serve
  3. Identify opportunities for business growth and create marketing strategies based on those opportunities in order to meet and exceed revenue goals. In this role, your duties will include meeting with clients to set up the loan application process, gathering required financial documentation, and approving or denying loan requests based on your financial calculations.

Job Responsibilities 

  1. Research and identify potential sales partners that align with our organization’s goals, target market, and value proposition
  2. Evaluate potential partners based on their market presence, product or service offering, reputation, and potential synergy
  3. Conduct in-depth analysis and due diligence to assess the viability and profitability of partnership opportunities
  4. Develop a comprehensive partnership strategy to establish and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with selected partners
  5. Initiate and engage in discussions with potential partners to explore collaboration opportunities.
  6. Negotiate partnership terms and agreements, including revenue sharing, distribution channels, co-marketing activities, and contractual obligations
  7. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure contracts and agreements meet legal and financial requirements
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing sales partners, serving as the main point of contact
  9. Provide ongoing support, guidance, and training to sales partners to ensure their success in promoting our products or services
  10. Monitor partner performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships
  11. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop sales enablement materials, including presentations, product/service collateral, and training resources.
  12. Work closely with partners to align sales strategies, provide necessary tools and resources, and support their sales efforts.
  13. Analyze market data, partner performance metrics, and sales trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  14. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate partnership results, progress, and recommendations to senior management.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  2. Proven experience (7+ years) in sales management, preferably in the business development space or commercial banking
  3. Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar role, specifically focused on managing B2B sales partnerships
  4. Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and performance metrics.
  7. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  8. Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant business tools
  9. Willingness to travel for partner meetings and industry events as required
