Job Description

  1. As the Business Development Manager, the role entails driving growth and market expansion for pharmaceutical products.
  2. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies, fostering partnerships, and identifying new opportunities to enhance the company’s market presence.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Represent the organisation’s business development interests at relevant meetings and events.
  2. Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on ensuring organisational sustainability.
  3. Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and market share.
  4. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  7. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  8. Lead negotiations and contract development with clients.
  9. Monitor vendor agreements, vendor performance requirements and product performance expectations.
  10. Perform other duties assigned.

Job Requirements

  1. At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. An MBA is a valuable asset.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development roles.
  2. Ability to work independently and in a team
  3. Ability to organise and complete multiple projects in an efficient and timely manner.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively interact with a diverse team of people and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  5. Ability to deal with a fast paced environment with changing work priorities
  6. Multi-tasking and excellent prioritization
  7. Ability to think and plan strategically
  8. Excellent relationship management.
  9. Knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical terrain
  10. Proven track record of successful business development initiatives.
  11. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  12. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
