Job Description

Business Development Manager

  • The business development manager (BDM) is often the first point of contact a new potential client will have with a business when they are seeking information on the services Sigma Consulting Group provides. The BDM also responds to RFPs and closes new roles in new territories.
  • Due to promotion in our team, we are hiring another business development manager to cover the Lagos Mainland. To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and have a hunger to chase and close new roles within major organizations from cold calls and inbound warm leads to potential client organizations.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Contacting potential Client/Associate companies’ representatives to establish rapport and arrange meetings on exploring available opportunities like filling vacant roles or outsourcing services.
  2. Make all arrangements pre-hand to ensure that all is achieved smoothly.
  3. Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  4. Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  5. Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  6. Finding and developing new markets and improving the number of filled roles.
  7. Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  8. Developing quotes, proposals, and SLAs for clients.
  9. The business development manager, or BDM, informs others about the company’s services and acts as the point of contact for new clients and their assigned existing clients.

Job Requirements
Business Development Manager Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  2. At least 1-year of experience in sales, marketing, or related field.
  3. Roles/vacancies prospecting and closing skills.
  4. Territory Management.
  5. HR industry Knowledge.
  6. Presentation and strong communication skills.
  7. IT fluency. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  8. Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
  9. Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  10. Excellent organizational skills.
  11. Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  12. Working Days: Monday – Friday
  13. Working Hours: 9 am – 5 pm
