Job Description

  • As the Business Development Manager, you will lead our efforts in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. Your extensive industry knowledge, strategic thinking, and proven track record in business development will be instrumental in shaping our company’s future.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  3. Research and identify potential clients, markets, and partnership opportunities to expand our customer base.
  4. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.
  5. Lead negotiations and the development of contracts, agreements, and proposals.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized solutions that meet client needs.
  7. Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  8. Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to prospects, clients, and industry events.
  9. Monitor and analyze sales metrics and performance indicators to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
  10. Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on business development strategies and market trends.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  2. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or related roles post NYSC.
  3. Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
  4. Strong industry knowledge and understanding of market trends and dynamics.
  5. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve and exceed targets.
  7. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  8. Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  9. Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret sales data.
  10. Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
