Job Position: Business Development Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our team.
  2. Experience working in the oil and gas industry and strong leadership skills are expected.
  3. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company.
  4. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills.
  5. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Identify partnership opportunities
  2. Develop new relationships in an effort to grow the business and help the company expand while maintaining existing business
  3. Identify prospects and develop sales strategies to penetrate and get new accounts, including presentations and tenders.
  4. Lead the formulation, execution, and monitoring of the company’s business development, market penetration strategies, and plans for enhancing business growth.
  5. Arrange business development meetings with prospective clients
  6. Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  7. Conduct research to identify new business opportunities- markets and customer needs
  8. Generate leads and cold call prospective clients
  9. Assist in the preparation of bids/ proposals.
  10. Liaise with other business units; finance team, warehousing, and logistics, as needed
  11. Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate
  12. Develop promotional strategy and activities

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-6 years’ prior industry-related business development experience
  • Robust and high-level contacts in the IOCs and E&P companies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • A good understanding of the oil and gas business environments and current trends
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
