Job Description
- We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion opportunities for our engineering services company within the Oil & Gas industry.
- The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategic partnerships to enhance the company’s market presence and revenue streams.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the company’s business development strategy, with a focus on expanding our client base and market share in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including potential clients, projects, partnerships, and market segments, through market research, networking, and industry analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, including oil companies, engineering firms, government agencies, and other stakeholders, to understand their needs and requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and project management, to develop tailored solutions and proposals that meet client objectives and address market demands.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts, agreements, and partnerships, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company while meeting client expectations and project requirements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and competitive developments, and use insights to inform business strategies, product/service offerings, and market positioning.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking forums to promote brand awareness, generate leads, and expand business opportunities.
- Track and analyze business development activities, including sales performance, pipeline development, and client feedback, and provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a proven track record of success in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong understanding of the Oil & Gas market dynamics, including key players, trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets through strategic planning, prospecting, and business development initiatives.
- Solid negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to structure and close complex deals effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market data, identify business opportunities, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions, influence decision-makers, and represent the company professionally.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration towards common goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for managing contacts, leads, and sales pipelines.
