Job Description
- As a Business Development Officer for our e-library platform, you will be responsible for driving growth and expansion opportunities.
- Your primary focus will be on identifying potential partnerships, forging relationships with publishers, authors, academic institutions, and other relevant stakeholders, and developing strategies to enhance our e-library’s content offerings and user base.
- You will play a crucial role in devising innovative approaches to market our e-library platform effectively and sustainably.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the e-library’s content portfolio and user base.
- Build and maintain relationships with publishers, authors, academic institutions, and other content providers to secure licensing agreements and acquire high-quality content.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective strategies to promote the e-library platform and increase user engagement.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth.
- Analyze sales data and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the e-library’s offerings and user experience.
- Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and pitches to potential partners and stakeholders.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements, contracts, and terms with content providers and partners.
- Stay updated on industry developments, technological advancements, and best practices in digital publishing and e-library management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, content curation, customer support, and finance to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, sales metrics, and business development activities to senior management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in business development in an E-Library or Publishing company.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably in the digital publishing or e-library industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and market trends to drive informed business decisions.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with digital publishing platforms, content licensing agreements, and intellectual property rights is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Flexibility to travel as needed for business meetings and conferences.
