Job Position: Business Development Officer
Job Location: Lagos
Job Description
- We are looking to employ a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Officer with a technical background to identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase product sales.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers.
- Provide insight of the company’s product development and competitive positioning.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and follow through on leads.
- Contribute to developing effective strategies to promote the company’s products and services to increase company profits.
- Follow up with potential clients to present company offerings and negotiate business deals.
- Possess a good understanding of the oil and gas, maritime, or related industries.
- Support in the preparation of bids and proposals
Job Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND / Master’s Degree qualification
- Not less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the maritime or oil & gas industries is compulsory.
- Educational background in mechanical engineering, marine engineering, or a related engineering course
- Knowledge of NCDMB, NipeX, NAPIMS processes and portals is an added advantage
- Proven experience working as a business development officer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and management skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication & presentation skills
- Strong business acumen.
