Job Description
- A Business Developer in a micro-lending company plays a vital role in driving business growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities for lending services.
- This position involves developing strategic partnerships, expanding the customer base, and contributing to the overall success and profitability of the company’s lending operations.
Job Responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify potential target segments for short-term personal and SME finance.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Business Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive the growth of the lending portfolio.
- Identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
Partnership Building:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including business partners, financial institutions, and industry associations.
- Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships to enhance the company’s lending capabilities.
Customer Acquisition:
- Develop and execute strategies to attract and acquire new customers, including salaried individuals, self-employed personnel, and small businesses.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective customer acquisition campaigns.
Product Development:
- Work closely with product development teams to tailor lending products to the needs of target customers.
- Introduce innovative lending solutions to address market demands.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue generation through effective business development efforts.
- Explore cross-selling opportunities to maximize customer value.
Networking:
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build the company’s presence in the micro-lending sector.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the financial or micro-lending industry.
- Knowledge of micro-lending operations, short-term finance, and SME lending.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in the micro-lending industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales and business development targets.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools.
Job Experience:
- 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in business development or sales in the financial or micro-lending sector.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
- Experience in developing and managing strategic partnerships.
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of micro-lending operations, short-term finance, and SME lending.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards and market trends in the micro-lending industry.
