Job Position: Business Development Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven business development officer to drive business growth and increase profitability.
  2. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the business and a proven track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Meets a monthly team target of at least 80%
  2. Supports business development manager and supervises the team members to ensure that they work in line with set standards.
  3. Develop business proposals, teach team members how to prepare proposals and make presentations to clients.
  4. Research and develop business marketing plans to achieve revenue goals and business opportunity
  5. Provides motivation and encouragement to team members
  6. Ensure team members prepare their weekly call memos and keep detailed records.
  7. Ensure team members record their transactions daily and submit same to the Business development Manager
  8. Accompany team members on calls and assists with presentations to the client
  9. Update rates daily on the company’s website.
  10. Answer team member’s questions, help solve problems they encounter in marketing and advise them on the best strategies to adopt.
  11. Communicate deadlines and sales goals to team members
  12. Conduct team meetings as often as possible to plan and strategize on the best way to meet targets.
  13. Provides quality customer service including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  2. At least 2 years of experience in business development, marketing or sales, preferably in the Financial sector
  3. Sound Risk Management experience.
  4. Ability to disburse SME Loans in large volumes without default.
  5. Ability to open an investment portfolios
  6. Must be a goal getter and aggressive marketer
  7. Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive business decisions
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  9. Proven track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  13. Prepare regular reports on business development activities and results.
