Job Position: Marketing and Business Development Officer

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

  1. Coordinate the Marketing and Public Relations functions for Lancaster University Ghana, TAGmyFuture and TAG College to develop brand awareness and increase attractiveness for the target audience.
  2. Support the Marketing and PR Manager to undertake all Marketing and Social media activities.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide Nigeria-related content for the website and the other digital platforms.
  2. Manage all social media platforms for TAG College & TAGMyFuture.
  3. Organise Pre-event communications to invite prospective students to event’s across online (email and affiliate web) and offline communications.
  4. Build relationships with industry, businesses, NGO’s and Not for Profit Organisations in Ghana and abroad.
  5. Represent the company to prospective employers and seek appropriate new placement opportunities both nationally and internationally.
  6. Develop and nurture on-going relationships with, Corporates, Embassies, NGO’s etc. to ensure long term partnership and ROI.
  7. Attend corporate networking events.
  8. Organise Corporate events such as the Business Breakfast etc
  9. Develop PR campaigns and strategies as well as track and report the performance and impact of relevant advertising activities.
  10. Assist in school visits, career expos, graduation functions, educational fairs, open days, networking events, and exhibitions.
  11. Monitor and manage online campaigns and put together comprehensive post-campaign reports.
  12. Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant sales and marketing information to the department/Line Manager
  13. Provide reports pertaining to effectiveness of marketing campaigns, lead analysis, lead target achievements, competitor analysis and market intelligence, or any other ad hoc reports as requested by line Manager.
  14. Investigate, research, and prepare reports on key marketing issues and undertake market research, competitor analysis, statistical and trend analyses as directed.
  15. Work with Marketing Manager/Head to undertake research and market analysis to support on LUG’s business plans/strategies.
  16. Develop and maintain relationship with different media agencies and develop key messages for LUG’s media landscape.
  17. Assists in the design and/or production of marketing materials and managing the stock of collaterals.
  18. Closely monitor competitive presence and industry trends across various message boards, business newsletters and social media.
  19. Keep and maintain detailed and accurate records of all stakeholder engagement, SLAs, MOUs, and employers.
  20. Develop comprehensive corporate and employer relations strategy.
  21. Identify and keep up to date on competitor activities in relation to corporate relationships and activities.

Other Duties:

  1. Perform other tasks as and when required.

Reporting Requirements:

  1. Post-campaign follow-up communications and ROI reporting
  2. Reporting on campaigns, ROI and industry best practises
  3. Weekly Marketing & PR updates with Line Manager
  4. Submit monthly Marketing &PR report
  5. Submit quarterly Marketing & PR report for Board Pack;

Job Requirements
Educational/Academic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Mass Communication or related fields.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a sales or marketing role preferably in the higher education field.

Technical:

  1. Significant working knowledge in Marketing, PR and emerging marketing trends;
  2. Excellent research, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  3. Significant knowledge in brand management;
  4. Strong business and marketing acumen;
  5. Proposal writing skills;
  6. Good Knowledge of digital marketing;
  7. Good Content Creation Skills
  8. Creative

Planning and Organising Skills required:

  1. Experience of planning, prioritizing and organising work on daily, weekly and monthly basis, individually and as part of a team, while ensuring the effective use of resources and delivering to tight deadlines;
  2. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with experience of managing a large range of different stakeholders;

Communication Skills Required:

  1. Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills;
  2. Excellent influencing skills and the ability to communicate with credibility, tact and diplomacy internally and externally;

  3. Proficient use of Content Creation software such as Capcut or Inshot

N200,000 – N330,000 / Month
