Job Description

  • They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Supervisor to join their team and drive the purchase of scrap batteries while overseeing the setup and running of collection centers in Ibadan, Lagos, and Abeokuta.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the purchase of scrap batteries, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  2. Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders in the scrap battery industry, including suppliers, dealers, and other relevant partners.
  3. Oversee the setup and efficient operation of collection centers in Ibadan, Lagos, and Abeokuta, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
  4. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth and development.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics and finance, to ensure seamless and cost-effective operations.
  6. Provide leadership and guidance to the sales and collection center teams, fostering a positive and performance-driven culture.
  7. Conduct regular market research to stay informed about industry trends and customer needs.
  8. Prepare and present reports on business development activities, sales progress, and key performance indicators.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a reputable institution
  2. Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in Sales or Business Development, preferably in the recycling or environmental industry.
  3. Strong understanding of the scrap battery market and associated supply chain dynamics.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing successful sales and operations teams.
  6. Ability to travel to different locations as needed.
  7. Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards.
