Job Summary

The Business Manager oversees the overall operations, sales performance, and profitability of the shoe retail business.

This role involves strategic planning, business development, staff supervision, customer relationship management, and ensuring efficient store operations.

The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with leadership and retail management expertise to drive growth and enhance customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
Business Operations Management:

  1. Oversee daily retail operations across all store locations.
  2. Ensure adherence to operational standards, inventory control, and visual merchandising guidelines.
  3. Monitor stock levels, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely product replenishment.
  4. Implement operational efficiency strategies to reduce waste and optimise resources.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

  1. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and profitability goals.
  2. Analyse sales trends and customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities.
  3. Lead promotional campaigns, pricing strategies, and product launches.
  4. Track sales performance and prepare periodic business performance reports.

Team Leadership & Staff Management:

  1. Supervise, train, and motivate retail and administrative teams.
  2. Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
  3. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service excellence.

Financial Management:

  1. Prepare and manage the business budget, including sales forecasts and expense control.
  2. Monitor cash flow, expenses, and profitability.

Marketing & Brand Development:

  1. Oversee social media, digital marketing, and in-store promotional activities.
  2. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and customer touchpoints.

Customer Experience & Relationship Management:

  1. Maintain high standards of customer service across all stores.
  2. Handle escalated customer issues professionally and effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail or business management (preferably in fashion, footwear, or lifestyle brands).
  3. Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  4. Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage business operations.
  5. Analytical thinker with proficiency in MS Office and inventory software.
  6. Excellent organisational and decision-making abilities.
