Job Responsibilities
Leadership:

  1. Responsible for directing and overseeing employees, ensuring everyone is aligned with the organisation’s goals and working together effectively.
  2. Foster the growth and development of employees by providing guidance, feedback, and support counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Strategic Planning:

  1. Effectively present and discuss the services of the company to prospective clients in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity and superior understanding and delivery of client needs.
  2. Establish marketing strategy and initiatives that drive customer growth, raise brand recognition, and engage the SME community.
  3. Manage and expand partnership programs that will deliver new business relationships to the company.
  4. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities in the SME space.
  5. Develop proposals, pitches, and approaches that address the needs, issues, and goals of the customer.
  6. Use sales management systems and tools to analyse marketing activity and maximise efficiency in managing marketing data on a weekly basis.

Risk Management:

  1. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the platform’s reputation, data security, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Keep abreast of market trends, new pricing, and payment plans.
  3. Proactively seek new business offerings within the market.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee the organisation’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensure the organisation remains profitable.

Client Relationship:

  1. Analyse customer satisfaction through feedback and evaluate company products and services accordingly.
  2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and clients of the company to achieve or exceed revenue objectives.
  3. Build long-term trusting connections with clients.
  4. Identify and qualify potential clients and convert them into increased business for the company.

Business Development:

  1. Develop a sales plan that identifies prospects and clients by utilising knowledge of SME ecosystems and industry trends.
  2. Provide insight and offer feedback on product development and competitive positioning.

Operation:

  1. Improve operational efficiency by streamlining internal processes and implementing best practices.
  2. Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to remain updated on developments in the field.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting Finance or another related field.
  2. Experience 4+ years of proven experience working as a Business Manager, or similar role.
  3. Experience in a marketplace or platform-based business is a plus.
  4. Additional Qualifications Relevant professional certification would be an added advantage
  5. Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
  6. Proven experience in managerial role preferably within the SME space
  7. Social Media savvy
  8. Experience working with CRM
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft suites
  10. Strong business acumen and ability to work independently and in a fast-paced work environment
  11. Track record of driving business growth
  12. Strong understanding of the professional service industry and market dynamics.
  13. Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of the professional service industry is a plus
