Job Position: Central Store Officer

Job Location: Warri, Delta

Job Description

  • The store keepers under the Central Store are attached to pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables in stocking of the items under their custody and disbursement to user departments in the organization.

The key result areas of this role are:

  1. Stocking, Disbursing and Requisition of Pharmaceutical Drugs, Laboratory Reagents/Vaccines, Medical Consumables.
  2. Receiving Items (Pharmacy items, Laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables)
  3. Proper documentation of incoming goods receipts and issuance to user departments.
  4. Making Requisition of pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables items that has gotten to re-order levels to avoid stock outs.
  5. Good arrangement of items on the shelf based on their categories
  6. Ensure proper storage and preservation of all pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables both on shelf and refrigerator
  7. Organize and Disburse pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables by going through the requisition orders to user departments.
  8. Ensure proper documentation of all goods receipts and invoiced both on goods received note {GRN}, INSTA and PMS.
  9. Accurate updates of Bin Cards
  10. Adherence to re-order levels and re-order quantities of pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables.
  11. Alert the store supervisor on increment of items supplied
  12. Deliver appropriate pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables supplies in the right quantity to user departments.
  13. Tracking of ALL items that are not fully supplied from the vendors.
  14. Maintain records by documenting and filing invoices on GRN for audit and user departmental checks, confirmation and signing off.
  15. Maintain inventory of ALL ITEMS by checking pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables stock to determine inventory level, ensuring First-in-First-Out (FIFO) system is strictly adhered to, anticipating needed requisitions and supplies as the need arises, and removing outdated drugs.
  16. Daily spot-checking of ALL items to monitor re-order levels to avoid stock out.
  17. Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, and inform user departments for stock and policy conformity.
  18. Monitor expiry date of pharmacy items, laboratory items and Vaccines, Medical Consumables items.

The Person

  • Minimum Academic qualification of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or any related Science Degree.
  • 1 – 3 years and above relevant work experience preferably in the Health or Service sector.
  • Student Membership of relevant professional bodies.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft office package.
  • Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills.
