Job Position: Centre Manager – Business Innovation Accelerator

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. The Center Manager would be responsible for the management of administrative requirements as approved by the Governing Council.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Overall management of all administrative systems, record keeping and governance processes to aid the effective running of facilities.
  2. Analyze program risks and determining mitigants.
  3. Space management
  4. Oversight of routine planned, and preventative maintenance of the building facilities and outdoor space by staff, volunteers, or contractors.
  5. Maintain, monitor, and commission work as part of cyclic or needs-based repair and refurbishment.
  6. Manage and update a register of risk for facilities and update the Center Director.
  7. Manage and monitor all health and safety aspects in the building and outside spaces as required by regulation or good practice.
  8. Manage operational budget
  9. First-line review of agreements with vendors and contractors
  10. Liaise with Accountant, Media, and other direct officers regarding key deliverables.
  11. Manage all ad-hoc staff that manages the facility’s varying capacities. Ensure that staff and volunteers can work collaboratively with each other.
  12. Work in collaboration with other staff and contractors to establish marketing of facilities and good, serviced channels of communication about activities, events, and facilities available.
  13. Deal with communications issues internally and externally
  14. Develop a budget and operating plan for the program.
  15. Manage budgets for the locations.

Job Requirements

  1. An MBA with relevant work experience (A PhD is an added advantage, given the research output expectations from the centre).

 Experience:

  1. Minimum of five years of professional experience in a lead management role.

Competencies Required:
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following.

  1. Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, strategic planning, and writing skills are required.
  2. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.
  3. Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with attention to detail.
