Job Position: Chef (Fine Dining)

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and experienced Chef to lead the kitchen team in our fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a refined palate, and a deep understanding of luxury dining standards. You will be responsible for menu creation, ingredient sourcing, team management, and maintaining the highest level of food quality and presentation.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Design and update innovative, seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant’s fine dining concept
  2. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
  3. Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence, discipline, and teamwork
  4. Monitor food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet the highest culinary standards
  5. Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new offerings and maintain guest satisfaction
  6. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  7. Control food costs through efficient inventory management and portion control
  8. Source premium ingredients and maintain relationships with trusted suppliers
  9. Supervise kitchen cleaning, equipment maintenance, and waste reduction efforts
  10. Handle customer feedback professionally, making improvements where necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef in a fine dining or Michelin-starred environment

  1. Formal culinary training or a degree from a recognised culinary school
  2. Exceptional knowledge of international cuisines, modern plating techniques, and ingredient pairings
  3. Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities
  4. High attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
  5. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage a high-paced kitchen
  6. Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  7. Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.

Working Conditions:

  1. Long shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  2. Fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
  3. Physical demands include standing for long periods and lifting heavy items.
