Job Position: Chef (Fine Dining)

Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and experienced Chef to lead the kitchen team in our fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a refined palate, and a deep understanding of luxury dining standards. You will be responsible for menu creation, ingredient sourcing, team management, and maintaining the highest level of food quality and presentation.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and update innovative, seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant’s fine dining concept
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
- Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence, discipline, and teamwork
- Monitor food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet the highest culinary standards
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new offerings and maintain guest satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Control food costs through efficient inventory management and portion control
- Source premium ingredients and maintain relationships with trusted suppliers
- Supervise kitchen cleaning, equipment maintenance, and waste reduction efforts
- Handle customer feedback professionally, making improvements where necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef in a fine dining or Michelin-starred environment
- Formal culinary training or a degree from a recognised culinary school
- Exceptional knowledge of international cuisines, modern plating techniques, and ingredient pairings
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities
- High attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage a high-paced kitchen
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
Working Conditions:
- Long shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
- Physical demands include standing for long periods and lifting heavy items.
