Job Position: Chief Finance Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. Chief Finance Officer is responsible to assist the overall coordination, leading and supervision of all Accounts and finance management and procedure, financial reporting,and compliance.
  2. Managing and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting and re forecast processes.
  3. Providing back office services such as accounts payable, collection and payroll.
  4. Monitoring cash flow and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of day-to-day financial preparations.
  5. Maintaining a strong framework of internal controls, accounting processes and procedures.
  6. Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
  7. Presenting monthly results and reports to management as well as to relevant colleagues.
  8. Providing insightful reporting and commercial analysis to support management decision making.
  9. Managing the cash-flow needs of the company while managing debt profiles and investments.
  10. Carrying out post investment and expenditure reviews.
  11. Oversee general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts receivables & payables, intercompany, treasury, taxation, and payroll.
  12. Ensuring that payments to vendors and salaries are processed.
  13. Controlling budgets and expenditure.
  14. Researching on factors influencing business performance.
  15. Managing relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, bankers, tax authorities and so on.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of B.Sc or HND in Accounts and Finance related role.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of Cognate experience as Head of Finance and Account is a MUST.
  3. Previous experience from Microfinance Banks and proficient use of Bank one and accounting software E.g Quickbooks, Peachtree, SAP
  4. Chartered membership of a relevant professional association, e.g. ACA, ICAN, ACCA.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office package, especially Excel and Word
  6. Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  7. Demonstrates ability to identify problems.
