Job Position: CTO (Chief Technology Officer)

Job Location: Lekki 1, Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

  1. All technical operations for this expanding Telecom’s Infrastructure Service Provider will be under the control of the CTO.
  2. Directing all new service development, radio and transmission planning, power planning (including but not limited to AC and DC generators, ATS, Rectifiers, Alternative energy systems, air conditioners), network planning, fiber rollouts, in line with business requirements, and generally supporting business development activities on a global scale are among the responsibilities that will fall under this position.
  3. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role.
  4. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
  2. Lead the team in the creation of new products and services, telecoms network engineering, planning, and implementation, including the expansion of telecoms infrastructure across the nation and service delivery to consumer locations.
  3. Develop the company technological roadmap in accordance with market demands and emerging technology trends, aid in creating the business plan, and take the lead on all implementation-related tasks.
  4. Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage.
  5. Launch innovative telecom infrastructure services and use efficient resources to serve internal operations and top corporates.
  6. Plan and provide advice on technology and services to suit changing market needs that will increase revenue in collaboration with other department leaders, especially those in sales and marketing.
  7. Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
  8. Build quality assurance and data protection processes
  9. Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
  10. Budgeting for the department should be actively managed, and the company resources should be used efficiently to make technology investments that will expand the firm.
  11. Create connections with customers and international partners, particularly at the C-level, that lead to better solutions, more loyalty, and wider adoption of the company products.
  12. Ensure disaster recovery planning, reliability, and overall network security.

Job Requirements

  • 15years proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role in Telecommunications Industry with at least 10 years in a telecommunications infrastructure-based service provider.
  • Minimum of 10 years of strategic management experience.
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
  • Experience with the design, deployment and operations of Telecoms BTS (Build to suit) rollouts, radio and transmission planning, and power planning.
  • Strong Engineering and operational capabilities for networks and technologies.
  • Understanding of budgets and business-planning
  • Experience with the design, deployment and operations of Telecoms BTS (Build to suit) rollouts, radio and transmission planning, and power planning
  • Experienced manager with the ability to develop middle-level technical management.
  • Extensive experience in Business & Operational Support Systems (BSS/OSS).
  • Proven experience in managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets against specific commercial objectives.
  • Ability to lead the technology evolution of the company to address market opportunities new service
