Job Position: Civil Engineer

Job Description

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing, supervising, and managing construction projects from conception to completion.

The role involves ensuring all structures and infrastructure projects are safe, compliant, cost-effective, and delivered within agreed timelines.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop project plans, blueprints, and structural layouts.
  2. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact evaluations.
  3. Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  4. Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Manage project timelines, budgets, materials, and contractor performance.
  6. Conduct inspections, identify structural issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  7. Liaise with architects, surveyors, contractors, and government authorities.
  8. Prepare progress reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
  9. Ensure adherence to relevant building codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  10. Use engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design tools.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  2. Professional certification or registration (e.g., COREN) is an advantage.
  3. 3 – 7 years of proven experience in construction, infrastructure, or structural engineering projects.
  4. Proficiency in engineering design software and project management tools.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  8. Strong understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.

Salary
N300,000 – N400,000 monthly.
