Job Position: Civil Work Planner

Job Description

  • To support the activity planning process for routine and non-routine maintenance activities, so that activities are properly scoped and confirmed ready for execution before scheduling.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Field verification of job scopes and execution requirements for routine and non- routine maintenance job requests, and preparation of work packs/job orders in
  2. Pacer/SAP for scheduling and execution.
  3. Ensures that HSE considerations are included in all work plans, including preliminary risk assessments, PTW conditions, JHA requirements, etc.
  4. Prepares activity database, identifying required actions, originator, relevant equipment tag/unique id, specific requirements such as scaffolding, lifting and rigging, inspection requirements etc.
  5. Prepare planning templates with normalize duration and resource allocations for all activity types and prepares trend analyses for use on future job planning.
  6. Optimizes use of resources on activities, including materials, manpower and equipment, whilst minimizing duration.
  7. Monitors and coordinates material availability to ensure materials are available for planned activities.
  8. Interfaces with other maintenance disciplines to incorporate any interfaces and
  9. SIMOPS issues into the activity planning process.
  10. KPI reporting for civil maintenance activities.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • HND / B.Eng in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Experience:

  • 3 – 5 years engineering/construction/inspection/maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry

Key Competency Requirements:
Technical / Business Skills:

  1. Strong knowledge of civil/structural engineering.
  2. Hands on competency in the use of data base programs e.g. Microsoft Excel and Access
  3. Hands on competency in the use of PACER and SAP
  4. Working knowledge of industrial HSE policies and practices e.g. Observe, Intervene and Report, SSOW, etc.

Interpersonal Skills:

  1. Strong leadership skills
  2. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  3. Possess good report writing, planning and relationship management skills.
