Job Position: Communications & Brand Associate
Location: Lagos

Job Overview

The Communications & Brand Associate supports storytelling, brand expression, and donor-facing communications across BROOT’s work.

This is not a social media role. It is a role for someone who can think clearly, write creatively, and compellingly convey complex ideas.

You will support campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and advisory engagements through high-quality written and visual communication.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop brochures, donor materials, pitch decks, and case-for-support content
  2. Draft donor communications, follow-ups, and stewardship materials
  3. Support campaign messaging, ads, and awareness materials
  4. Translate strategic ideas into clear, persuasive stories
  5. Support proposal writing and client-facing presentations
  6. Work with designers and external creatives where required
  7. Maintain consistency in tone, message, and brand expression.

Experience & Background

  1. 2 – 5 years of experience in communications, brand, content, consulting communications, or related fields
  2. Experience with NGOs, fundraising communications, or impact-driven organisations is an added advantage
  3. Comfort working with senior professionals and complex subject matter.

Critical Skills & Capabilities:

  1. Strong storytelling and creative writing skills
  2. Excellent command of written English
  3. Ability to structure narratives for different audiences
  4. Strong visual sensitivity and attention to detail
  5. Analytical mindset; able to interpret insights and translate them into stories.
