Job Position: Company Accountant

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Prepare monthly management accounts, annual financial accounts and liaise with external auditors
  2. Prepare budgets, cash-flow projections and monitor actual expenditures against same
  3. Ensure accurate invoices are issued to clients in a timely manner
  4. Carry out periodic bank reconciliations
  5. Follow up with clients on receivables and related WHT receipts
  6. Process monthly staff payroll and pension remittances
  7. Perform treasury function including management of cash float, accounts receivables and payables
  8. Ensure timely renewal of Operating Licenses and Insurance policies
  9. Ensure the preparation, remittance, and timely filing of all local, state, and federal taxes and returns as well as cultivate relationship with tax authorities to obtain various tax certificates
  10. Liaise with service providers on a timely manner on accounting, regulatory, statutory, and other matters
  11. Provide financial input for contract bids
  12. Supervise account personnel and storekeeper
  13. Ensure the application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures within the department.
  14. Manage the company assets register
  15. Manage relationships with bankers, regulators, tax officials, consultants and other relevant stakeholders
  16. Handle other assignments as required by Management.

Job Requirements

  1. A minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other related discipline.
  2. ACCA/ACA is required.
  3. At least 5 years’ post qualification experience in management, financial accounting and treasury management.
  4. Strong financial and accounting background.
  5. Experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues.
  6. A team player and goal oriented individual.
  7. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  8. Exceptional organization and time-management skills.

Salary

  • N250,000.00
