Job Position: Compliance Manager

Job Description

  1. To ensure that the Fintech company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  2. The candidate must have a deep understanding of both financial regulations and digital financial services.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, national, and international financial regulation
  2. Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines tailored to the company’s digital operations.
  3. Identify and assess potential compliance risks related to digital financial services, products, or operations.
  4. Continuously monitor operations to detect and prevent potential compliance violations.
  5. Conduct regular compliance testing and internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the compliance program
  6. Ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity regulations
  7. Implement and oversee customer due diligence processes, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures, for digital financial services
  8. Ensure that third-party service providers and vendors also adhere to compliance standards
  9. Develop and maintain an incident response plan to address compliance breaches or data security incidents
  10. Promote ethical behavior within the organization and establish mechanisms for employees to report compliance concerns or violations confidentially
  11. Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry best practices, and communicate their potential impact to senior management and relevant departments
  12. Continuously assess and enhance the compliance program to adapt to changing regulations and emerging risks in the digital financial industry

Job Requirements

  1. Good knowledge of MS suite
  2. Good understanding of regulatory standards
  3. Good understanding of relevant laws and statutes
  4. Good understanding of the company’s standard operating procedures
  5. Good analytical skills
  6. Basic knowledge of accounting
  7. Good Interpersonal skills
  8. Good knowledge of ISO standards
  9. Relevant certifications e.g. CRCM & CAMS would be an added advantage.
