Job Position: Execution / Construction Coordinator

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. Inspect the construction site to ensure the appropriate level of quality control in all phases.
  2. Identify and utilize talented people to maximize productivity and quality of work
  3. To assure that every process is running according to standards, supervise and facilitate equipment and component installation
  4. Adhering to both budgetary and time constraints
  5. To stay on budget, monitor the material and tools spending
  6. Maintain records for all construction dates and project cost
  7. Coordinate with material and supply chain management to have adequate supply on the site
  8. Finding and managing contractors and sub-contractors
  9. Manage the communication with contractors and managers
  10. Preparing work schedules for contractors and laborers
  11. Assist the construction manager in preparing a schedule for different projects
  12. Reporting on progress and challenges on the site to the manager
  13. Preparation of construction progress reports from the site to be provided to the manager
  14. Assist the construction manager in the closeout process and ensure appropriate filing of all paperwork
  15. Assist the construction manager to provide all the safety needs
  16. Learning and applying the latest construction methods and technologies
  17. Participate in various training sessions
  18. Participate in various project meetings and maintain records of all construction dates and project costs
  19. Manage multiple construction projects at one given time and prepare construction progress reports for all projects on an everyday basis
  20. Prepare various documents for all implementation of activities and ensure approval for same and assist in distributing all final documents.

Job Requirements

  1. Excellent communication skills
  2. Understand and speak the local language
  3. Have good project administration skills
  4. Have good management skills
  5. Should be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  6. In-depth knowledge of materials, building codes, and regulations
  7. Know the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email software
  8. Have good interpersonal and negotiation skills

Minimum level of experience required:

  • 6 years or more

Required authorisations:

  1. English (C-Professional working proficiency)
  2. Have good project administration skills.
