Job Position: Construction Site Engineer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Site Supervision: Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  2. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to address technical issues and ensure alignment on project goals.
  3. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs, drawing up work schedules, site reports, and documentation, scheduling meetings and training sessions where required and providing regular updates to the stakeholders or team.
  4. Resource Management: Monitor and manage materials, tools, and manpower on-site, coordinating procurement and usage as needed and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts
  5. Health & Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations, conducting risk assessments and site inductions.
  6. Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure construction quality standards are met, reporting issues and non-conformities.
  7. Technical Assistance: Interpret technical designs, drawings, and specifications; provide guidance and solutions to onsite challenges.
  8. Project Execution: Coordinate with subcontractors, labourers, and material suppliers to ensure the efficient and timely progression of the project.

Requirements and skills

  1. HND / B.Sc Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Related courses.
  2. 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Additional certificates or licenses may be required·
  4. Sound knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design
  5. Great leadership and organisational skills.
  6. Superb project management skills.
  7. Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
  8. Great written and verbal communication skills.
  9. A willingness to learn.

Salary
N300,000 – N350,000 Monthly.
