Job Position: Construction Site Lead III

Job Location: Eket, Akwa Ibom

Job Description
Lead Site Safety:

  1. Lead company site team (as assigned) for completion of construction activities in accordance with project objectives, priorities, and contract specifications
  2. Serve as member of the Project Team (PT) when project assigned
  3. Oversee the execution of fabrication, construction, and hookup
  4. Coordinate activities of site safety, technical, and quality inspection personnel
  5. Determine if corrective actions are needed in order to meet project objectives, and work to have these implemented
  6. Coordinate site interfaces between contractors (and subcontractors) with Production Operations, Drilling, and other ongoing projects as applicable
  7. Report progress, performance, initiatives, issues, and challenges to Construction Site Manager or Project Manager as appropriate

Job Responsibilities
Champion the Company Sites Leadership Expectations:

  1. Champion on-site safety awareness and safe performance with contractors and among Project Team members
  2. Lead/assist in the preparation and development of construction planning deliverables (Pre-Check Point 2)
  3. Interface with contractors on a day-to-day basis
  4. Provide input in the review and development of the contractor’s detailed plans and procedures
  5. Monitor and appraise contractor’s performance and recommend corrective action to be taken where deficiencies are detected; verify actions are taken
  6. Coordinate resolution of construction-related issues with guidance from the supervisor
  7. Establish, implement, and maintain verification process for mechanical completion
  8. Utilize best practices, Comes, and other current Construction systems/tools
  9. Ensure that an appropriate materials management system is implemented at site
  10. Coordinate with on-site personnel regarding planning and implementation of fabrication, construction, and mechanical completion activities
  11. Participate in the company’s learned reviews and provide input to close-out report sections upon completion of work
  12. Ensure execution of the contract complies with contract specifications
  13. Ensure change requests are in accordance with the Management of the Change Plan
  14. Provide input to appraisal process for assigned site personnel
  15. Manage the project business services and contracting and materials management organization and functional interfaces through the Execution Stage

Job Requirements

  1. BSc in Engineering, Construction Management, or Technical Degree
  2. Experience in-field Construction planning, execution, and completion
  3. Prior site experience
  4. Willing to travel (domestic/overseas) to project sites
  5. Past Construction Site Lead experience on major capital project
