Job Position: Content / Community Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • As a Content/Community Manager you will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content to achieve our clients business goals.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Leading and overseeing the research, development and production of quality content for online and offline publicity channels of agency, new and existing clients.
  2. Managing content campaigns, across online owned and paid media channels.
  3. Increasing awareness of the brand, product and services both internally and externally through outreach and social media amplification.
  4. Create internal content, including presentations, emails, brochures, blog articles.
  5. Manage the branding guidelines and check for compliance (agency and client).
  6. Create and manage content plans, editorial calendars and special day event calendars as related to clients or the agency.
  7. Ensure website, app and social media content is relevant, engaging, uptodate and portrays brand values.
  8. Responsible for copywriting, keyword strategy, link building, online PR strategies and content where required.
  9. Carry out social media listening and analytics reports (competitive analysis, google analytics and other cogent metrics inclusive) using customer insight to monitor visitor engagement and draw actionable insights that could lead to creating new initiatives.
  10. Plan and implement customer research and use the findings to feed into the online content strategy to support the business goals (Growth, retention, engagement).
  11. Identify and recommend new tools, including community management, reporting and social listening tools.
  12. Identify and manage existing and prospective/possible platforms, influencers and online community niche that brands could tap into to further engage their consumers
  13. Identify social media trends to keep the business focused and at the forefront of digital (be the company Expert and Consultant, to support the organization in the field of Social Media).

Job Requirements

  1. In depth knowledge of search engine optimization best practices.
  2. Must be able to understand complex environments and projects, pay attention to details and maintain an organized workflow.
  3. Creativity and experience bringing new programs and ideas to fruition.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to foster/maintain relationships across multiple businesses and organizations.
  5. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills preferred.
  6. A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  7. A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Content/Community Manager in an advertising agency is required.
