Job Position: Content Creator / Writer / Email Marketing Specialist

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Content Strategy: Develop a content strategy aligned with the overall marketing goals, target audience, and brand identity.
  2. Content Creation: Write high-quality, engaging, and informative content for various marketing channels, including blog posts, articles, website copy, social media updates, and more.
  3. SEO Optimization: Incorporate SEO best practices into content creation, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and creating content that ranks well in search engine results.
  4. Research: Conduct thorough research to gather information, data, and insights necessary to create accurate and valuable content.
  5. Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for grammar, style, and accuracy to ensure it meets quality standards.
  6. Content Calendar: Create and manage a content calendar to plan content releases and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
  7. Audience Engagement: Monitor audience feedback and comments, respond to inquiries, and engage with readers to build a community and foster loyalty.
  8. Content Promotion: Collaborate with other marketing professionals to promote content effectively through social media, email marketing, and other distribution channels.
  9. Content Performance Analysis: Analyze content performance metrics, such as page views, engagement rates, and conversions, to adjust content strategies and improve results.
  10. Email Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute email marketing strategies to achieve specific marketing objectives, such as lead generation, customer retention, or product promotion.
  11. Email Campaign Creation: Create compelling email content, including subject lines, body text, and calls-to-action, while adhering to email best practices and regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM Act).
  12. Email List Management: Segment email lists based on various criteria to deliver targeted and personalized email campaigns.
  13. Automation: Set up and manage email marketing automation workflows for tasks like welcome emails, drip campaigns, and abandoned cart emails.
  14. A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing on email campaigns to optimize subject lines, content, and design for improved open rates and click-through rates.
  15. Design and Layout: Collaborate with design teams or use email marketing software to create visually appealing email templates and layouts.
  16. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor email campaign performance, track key metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates), and generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of email marketing efforts.
  17. Compliance: Ensure that all email marketing practices comply with relevant regulations, such as the CAN-SPAM Act or GDPR.
  18. List Growth: Implement strategies to grow the email subscriber list through various channels, including website opt-ins, social media, and events.
  19. Personalization: Incorporate personalization techniques to make email content more relevant to individual recipients.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Content Creator, Writer, or Email Marketing Specialist.
  3. Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  4. Experience in developing and executing successful email marketing campaigns.
  5. Familiarity with email marketing platforms and tools.
  6. Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  7. Strong understanding of brand messaging and the ability to maintain brand consistency.
  8. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  9. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
