Job Position: Content Writer
Job Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies).
- Write clear marketing documents to promote our products/services on all our platforms.
- Prepare well-structured drafts for Whitepapers, Ebooks and Playbooks, using content marketing strategies.
- Proofread and edit owned and 3rd party blog posts before publication.
- Submit work timely to manager for input and approval.
- Coordinate with growth, marketing and design teams to illustrate articles, scripts, annual reports, playbooks and ebooks.
- Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO tools and guidelines to increase web traffic.
- Deploy emails to database and track email open and click rates, replies and general engagement.
- Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics using responses on social media comments, play store comments, etc., as influence.
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone).
- Update website content as needed.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field.
- Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role.
- Portfolio of published articles.
- Experience doing research using multiple sources.
- Familiarity with web publications.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress) and CRM tools.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
