Job Position: Copy Editor
Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Job Description
- We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Copy Editor to ensure the highest quality of our written content.
- The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong command of the English language, and a passion for news media.
Job Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread articles for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Ensure consistency in tone, format, and adherence to TheWill News Media’s editorial guidelines.
- Collaborate with writers and reporters to refine content and enhance overall quality.
- Fact-check information to ensure accuracy and credibility.
- Assist in the development of headlines and captions that capture reader interest.
- Review and edit content for various platforms, including digital and print.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Copy Editor, preferably in a newspaper or media firm.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style conventions.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with digital publishing and content management systems is a plus.
- A degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 per month.
